The ICID collects, compilesand maintains the key data related to irrigation and drainage in respect to its member countries, and other countries as much as possible. The data base includes information such as irrigated area, drained area, arable and cropped area, population engaged in agriculture and much more. The data iscollected through National Committees of member countries and complemented through sources such as the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Development Report by the World Bank, the Population Reference Bureau in Washington, etc. Currently, the following database is available;
