Hoe, Backhoe, Backshovel, or Pull shovel : A power excavator deriving its name from a gardener`s hoe, because the digging action of the former resembles the latter in that the dipper is on an arm that is pulled toward the machine. It may consist of a boom, a dipper stick pivoted at the end of the boom, a dipper attached to the lower end of the dipper stick.
