5892. Cantilever-type single-tier formwork : Formwork when the studs extend considerably below the panel sheathing. The stud extensions are provided with two rows of anchor bolts, fastened to two corresponding rows of anchors, embedded in the concrete of the previous block. This restrains the end of the stud and enables it to function, in effect, as a cantilever, subject to lateral pressure from the concrete. The third, upper row of anchor bolts, holds the inserted anchors properly positioned during concreting and is disconnected from them during formwork removal (illustrated).
