Scope: The working group discussed the scoping document during the meeting which was accepted in general however some new idea emerged which WG decided to consider in the work plan. WG recommended the following mandate:
(i) water accounting and irrigation auditing (and other ancillary uses); (ii) irrigation water measuring devices; (iii) assessment of water loss in various components of irrigation systems;
(iv) various methods and techniques used for water saving in irrigation; (v) policies and strategies for irrigation water saving; (vi) charging for Irrigation Services; (vii) success stories and best management practices in water saving; (viii) tools and processes applied in irrigation water saving; (ix) outreach of water saving technologies; and (x) WatSave Awards.
